About Us
We are a mother and daughter team. I have been showing collies
since 1979. My first Collie was Can-Dees China Doll she was my
juniors dog and my best friend I showed her in juniors and she
taught me so much and gave so much. I remember those early
days reading every Collie cues my friends would give me I loved
the Wickmere dogs, The Tartanside dogs and Twin Creeks they
had such pretty faces To this day I'm a sucker for a pretty face.
When my kids were born I stop showing for awhile but always had
a collie. I just love their temperaments and gentle nature. When
my daughter was about 5 and my son was 7 we started showing
together my son didn't really get the show bug. So he stayed with
grandma during our show weekends. We went to the collie
national and saw Ch. Twin Acres Concert Master I just loved his
face and soon after purchased a son I also saw Ch. Twin Acres
Dark and Dashing and a very dashing boy he was I soon got a
daughter from him and Thats were we started again. I have
recently add two CH. Cheviot Sollis Gallant Boy (who is just
beautiful and winner dog at the national) daughters which go back
to those dogs I love a mix of Fantasy Tartanside Cheviot ext.......So
we hope to see what the future holds for our collies.
We have just started showing Shelties a breed that I have long
admired I feel very blessed to the breeder that have shared their
shelties with us. We have learned there are very many types that I
love for different reasons. I was lucky enough to meet some great
people that have taught me a lot I know I still have so much more
to learn and can not wait. Marty and Michelle Miller of Thunderhill
Shelties Tammy Blakley of Iona Shelties and Shannalee
Waller-Michalsky of Akadia Shelties They all have been so helpful
and have such lovely dogs. We where lucky our first Sheltie
National was in our own backyard in Colorado. We saw so many
beautiful dogs. I loved being able to see them up close and
personal.
I have my favorites BIS/BISS Ch. Thunderhills War Emblem his
movement was so pretty he just floated. Akadia Strawberry
Shortcake What a face she was so pretty standing out there. Ch.
Paray Cirque Du Solei all I can say is WOW Tray Pitman and Paul
Flores They were here in the Colorado showing a lovely string of
shelties I was stunned at how beautiful they all were not only
beautiful but groomed to perfection. I knew then someday I
wanted to achieve that perfection. Also very pretty dogs The
Cimmaron dogs had such pretty faces. There were so many more.
So heres to the future.
